2 months agoAccording to the Financial Times, China has seized Sand Cay Island, belonging to Vietnam, in the South China Sea near the Philippines. The island is uninhabited and hosts Vietnamese military facilities. "China's Coast Guard Service this month 'exercised maritime control and applied sovereign jurisdiction' over Sand Cay," official Beijing stated.
